"Operation Red Sea" was a huge box office hit when it was released in China earlier this year and, after a brief run in a few big city theaters here, director Dante Lam's military action thriller comes to Blu-ray and DVD on July 24th.

We've got a premiere of the trailer below. Just like with Lam's "Operation Mekong" and the wildly successful "Wolf Warrior" movies, "Operation Red Sea" plays like your favorite patriotic American action movies from the Reagan era, except now China is the country destined to bring security and freedom to the world.

When a terrorist plot to obtain nuclear materials is hidden under the cover of a violent coup, only the Chinese Navy's elite Jiaolong (Sea Dragon) Assault Team have the deadly skill and precision needed to take on the situation.

Are Sea Dragons more badass than SEALs? They sure have a better name. We'll have a full review of the film in July.
